    Tweeter with phase plug and waveguide

    Two features that are nearly unheard of at this price point are the tweeter's built in phase plug and waveguide, providing for extreme precision in the high-frequency range.

    Kevlar mid-range driver with phase plug

    The mid-range driver is not only particularly large, but also contains a phase plug. That results in both crisp, understandable speech and an especially warm, natural mid-range. It also means the optimum sound can be heard across a larger area.

    AV receiver required

    This surround set requires an AV receiver to be used. It amplifies and distributes audio and visual signals. If you do not already have a compatible AV receiver, you can find many options under our accessories category or complete sets in our home cinema category that come prepackaged with a receiver.

    A center with bite

    Two large mid-range drivers in MTM configuration ensure powerful, distortion-free audio and high speech intelligibility for games and movies - even at low volumes. Sonically, the center is perfectly matched to the ULTIMA 40 or 20. It can be easily mounted on the wall, but thanks to its slim design, also looks great on a stand or on a shelf.

    Wireless 5.1 sound

      For the first time Teufel offers a subwoofer that can be configured in either front- or down-firing modes. Don't let the 150-Watts fool you. The new Class-D amplifier's high efficiency and extremely low noise mean it can go toe-to-toe with any 300-Watt amplifier.

            "If you’re looking for something different, then the Teufel Ultima 40 is certainly one to check out. I put these on par with the Klipsch R-24F. However, I would say the R-24F has a more controlled bass response than the Ultima 40. If you’re looking for a stereo pair, then you should definitely consider the Ultima 40 Active over the passive model. You’ll get better value for money by not having to spend extra on an amplifier and cabling as well as a more efficient speaker with factory fitted and tested amplification. If you’re looking for a full surround sound system, you have the option of the 5.1 Ultima Series which is an absolute gem of a system and also very affordable for the size and quality you get."
